The Role of Ontology in Agent-Oriented Requirements Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Goals identification is an open issue in the Requirement Analysis field for Multi-Agent System design. Stakeholders commonly don’t have full and exhaustive awareness about their real objectives in the domain problem. Goals are implicitly expressed during the inquiring phase. Thus, the goal identification task is commonly ascribed to the expertise of the analyst. In this work we propose a new methodological approach to formalize the problem domain in terms of its ontological representation. We also introduce a new heuristic for extraction and validation of goals from the problem description. In this approach the domain can provide evidences for the identification of unvoiced goals and for their validation according to the contextual data.

Domain Ontology Analysis in Agent-Oriented Requirements Engineering
Goal and agent orientation in Requirements Engineering has been recognized as a very promising approach. In fact, by adopting notions as those of Agent, Goal, Intentional Dependency and so on, it is possible to smoothly refine high-level requirements into detailed descriptions of the system-to-be. This paper introduces a requirements engineering framework based on the notions of Agent, Goal, an...
متن کاملMethod integration: An approach to develop agent oriented methodologies
Agent oriented software engineering (AOSE) is an emerging field in computer science and proposes some systematic ideas for multi agent systems analysis, implementation and maintenance. Despite the various methodologies introduced in the agent-oriented software engineering, the main challenges are defects in different aspects of methodologies. According to the defects resulted from weaknesses ...
متن کاملDevelopment of a peer-to-peer information sharing system using ontologies
Most existing agent-oriented methodologies ignore system extensibility, interoperability and reusability issues. Ontologies have been found to play a significant role in facilitating interoperability, reusability, MAS development activities (including MAS analysis and agent knowledge modeling) and MAS run-time operation (including agent communication and reasoning). However, most of the existin...
متن کاملThe SRAMO Technique for Analysis and Reuse of Requirements in Multi-agent Application Engineering v3
The increasing interest on the multi-agent software development paradigm turns necessary the elaboration of appropriate techniques and methodologies. A Multiagent Application Engineering process is characterized by the construction of applications based on agent-oriented reusable software artifacts. This paper presents SRAMO, an ontology-driven technique for requirement analysis of multi-agent ...
متن کاملAgent orientation in software engineering
Agent-oriented software engineering (AOSE) is rapidly emerging in response to urgent needs in both software engineering and agent-based computing. While these two disciplines co-existed without remarkable interaction until some years ago, today there is rich and fruitful interaction among them and various approaches are available that bring together techniques, concepts and ideas from both side...
